#intelligenttackleTry the Nailer
This variation on a pop-up rig is one that is referred to as “the nailer”. It involves tying what is effectively a basic hair-rig, but with the pop-up almost touching the bend of the size 6 Genomic hook. To complete the “aggressive” hooking angle, you then need to slide on a short length of Kodex shrink tube to the hook. After carefully steaming this over a kettle, you should then form a bend in the shrink tube, which creates a claw-like presentation. It is then simply a case of adding enough Graviton putty to counter-balance your pop-up, so that it sits just above the lake bed. The hooking properties of this rig are incredible, and it is also totally resistant to interference from smaller fish.
